How early should you order a custom cake?
How far ahead to book, what to send with your order, and what to do when the party is tomorrow.

Every cake we bake is made to order, so a little notice goes a long way. Here is a simple guide to timing your order.
The short answer: one to two days ahead
For most cakes, ordering one to two days before your date is ideal. That gives time to confirm the design, size and flavour on WhatsApp, and to bake and decorate your cake fresh.
Give more time for these cakes
- Doll cakes like the Tiara Princess, because of all the hand piping.
- Two-tier cakes like the Pineapple Two-Tier.
- Custom designs copied from a photo, especially with special colours or toppers.
- Weekends and festive dates, when many people order at once.
What to send with a custom order
To make it quick, send these on WhatsApp in one message:
- A reference photo or two of the design you like
- The date and preferred time
- Size (0.5 kg to 2 kg) and flavour
- The name or message to pipe on top
- Pickup in Al Quoz or your delivery area
Our custom cakes page explains the whole process.
Need a cake today or tomorrow?
Message us anyway. Short-notice orders are sometimes possible, depending on the design and how busy the kitchen is. One customer wrote: "I ordered a fruit cake for my husband's birthday and in a short notice of 5 hours, she had it ready." (Google review). A simpler design, like the Fresh Fruit Birthday cake or a name cake from our birthday cakes, is the best bet for a last-minute surprise.
